Catasauqua cutting fluoride from water

Catasauqua Borough Council plans to transition the borough’s drinking supply to a nonfluoridated water system, which is expected to cut costs and be complete this year, according to a public notice sent to residents. During a council meeting Monday night, officials said they “don’t have the money” for fluoridation.

What’s next? Borough officials will submit a permit application to DEP to remove fluoride from the water system.
