3 seriously injured in apparent shooting
Allentown police said three people were seriously injured early Saturday morning in an apparent shooting on the 900 block of North Fourth Street.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting inside of a banquet hall just after 1 a.m. and found three victims, police said. All three were transported to a hospital with serious injuries, police added
Police said the banquet hall was being used for a private party during which a dispute erupted between two males.
One of the males produced a handgun and shot the other male and during that altercation a female was also struck by a bullet, police said. The shooter then turned the gun on himself, resulting in a gunshot wound to his head, according to police.
At this time all of the parties involved in the incident are accounted for and there is no ongoing danger to the public, police said.
Police did not disclose the identities any of three people involved. The investigation is ongoing, according to a department spokesperson.
