Everyday The Morning Call carries a column, or story bemoaning the fact that the United States is woefully inadequate to face the growing military might of China.

It appears that Congress for the most part, agrees, but like the weather everyone talks about it, but no one does anything about it, or takesdefin­itiveactio­ntohaltour­slipperysl­ope into a second-rate military power, especially in the Navy, but all services are in dire straits.

Sad indeed to see how the world’s pre-eminent military is now in mortal danger of becoming a third-rate military power behind China and Russia.
