VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Help us bring extra smiles to children this holiday season by purchasing gifts for children in the community. All Holiday Hope Chests donated go to our regional nonprofit partners who support youth in the community through their programs and services. This program, coordinated by the Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley, is a great project for large/small groups, clubs, classes, families, and individuals. To participate, go to www.volunteerlv.org/ holiday-hope-chests and fill out a 2022 Donor Pledge Form.
Assist with literacy activities in a kindergarten or first grade classroom in the Allentown School District one hour per week or more. Clearances and attendance at an orientation session required.

Provide general information to staff, volunteers, clients, and the public about the American Red Cross and its programs.
The Red Cross Allentown office is seeking a volunteer to help over the next several months to help with light office work and occasional errands. With over 26 trees on display across five historic sites, the Trees of Historic Bethlehem display is a time-honored tradition in Bethlehem. Guides will assist at the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts to lead guests through the museum to see the Trees of Historic Bethlehem exhibit offered through early January and will be provided with general information to share with visitors while providing an engaging tour experience for visitors of all ages. Assemble Luminaria kits consisting of candles, sand, and paper bags for New Bethany Ministries
at Center Valley Parkway in Center Valley 4-6 p.m. Monday through Thursday through Nov. 21. This is a great opportunity for employee, social, or faithbased and other community groups to volunteer together. Adult supervision required for volunteers under 16. The Salvation Army Foster Care & Adoption Services has two fun opportunities. Purchase and stuff a stocking with gifts for a specific child in their foster care system or give their foster and adoptive families something they can do together as a family. Interpreters in a variety of Latino and Middle Eastern dialects would be very helpful to The Whole Life Center food pantry in Easton. Distribution days are the second and fourth Wednesday of each month. Volunteers would assist with filling out forms and work with the front desk to help understand and properly meet the needs of the people. Adults only.
