SEE THE HEATHER GLEN DIFFERENCE!
Our goal is to provide the ultimate residential living environment where our residents can relax and feel comfortable. We provide a variety of entertainment options, activities, and fine dining for a stimulating experience. Our state-of-theart architecture and design are based on the most recent research and trends in senior living.
Sherry Hill, Heather Glen’s Executive Director, calls the community — at 415 Blue Barn Road just outside of Allentown — “a unique concept in senior living.” Heather Glen was constructed by Kay Builders, one of the most trusted contractors in the Lehigh Valley for the last 60 years.
Sherry says Heather Glen is meant to resemble a residential-style community so residents will immediately feel welcome and comfortable. “It offers a lot of open-air space, skylights and an open-air atrium ... there’s a lot of natural lighting within the community.”
Heatherfield, the memory care area, offers small neighborhoods where individuals with Dementia or Alzheimer’s Disease receive great care while also providing privacy and an engaging lifestyle. The personal care area allows seniors to maintain their independence while having the peace of mind that comes with security and 24-7 access to professional staff.
We Create An Experience, Not Just A Place To Live
Tranquil, outdoor courtyards are featured in both personal care and memory care. Each courtyard is designed with elevated wheelchair accessible flowerpots to make planting flowers easy for residents in wheelchairs. There is plenty of outdoor seating to share a beverage and good conversation with their loved ones. The personal care courtyard has a putting green for residents who enjoy golfing. Residents can also find a beautiful water fountain featured in Heather Glen’s secure memorycare courtyard.
Heather Glen meals are served tableside, just like a restaurant. “We focus on wellness, capabilities, abilities and the positive aspects of life.” Sherry says.
Other services and amenities include 24-hour, specially-trained staff; on-site rehabilitation therapy; life enrichment programming; exercises, salon services, and wheelchair-accessible transportation. The Blue Barn Tavern is available for activities such as happy hour, resident birthday parties, and movie nights.
The community is fully licensed for both personal care and memory care and can accommodate singles or couples.
“Our goal is to provide excellent service at a reasonable price, while accommodating our residents needs.” Sherry says.
