Samuel G. Borrell, 92, of Fleetwood, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, PA. Born November 18, 1930 in Fleetwood, he was the son of the late Arthur R. and Helen M. (Reinert) Borrell. Sam served his country honorably and

faithfully as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force during

the Korean War.

Sam is survived by his wife, Cynthia L. (Schoedler) Borrell, six children, Daniel Borrell, husband of Veronica Borrell, Edmond, OK, Gale Hunt, Wausu, Nebraska, Carol Alexander, wife of Barry Alexander, Gilbert, AZ, Cynthia Smith,

Frederick, OK, Michael Rauenzahn, husband of Jayne Rauenzahn, Collegevil­le and Cathy Rauenzahn, Northampto­n, 15 grandchild­ren, 15 great-grandchild­ren, and by his brother and sisters, Arthur, Dorothy, Joan, and Miriam.

Sam was preceded in death by his parents, his children, David Borrell and Lynn (Borrell) King, and by his grandson, J.D. Hunt.

Services: Friday, December 30, 2022 at 11:00 am at St. Paul's Evangelica­l Lutheran Church, 117 E.

Arch St, Fleetwood, PA. Visitation­s will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 6:00 to

8:00 pm at Walbert Funeral Home & Crematory, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood, and again on

Friday, December 30, 2022 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made in Sam's honor to the St. Paul's Lutheran Church Youth Fund, 117 E. Arch St, Fleetwood, PA 19522.
