Lucille L. Dredge, 91, of Bethlehem, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at

St. Luke’s Hospital— Anderson Campus. Born on February 15, 1931, in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Susan (Matus) Lawrence.

A graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School, she went on to serve as a legal secretary for six years at the office of Attys. Griesemer and Rauch. She then took a position as a secretary for the Bethlehem Authority, retiring in 2003 after thirty-two years of service.

She was a member of Ss. Simon and Jude

Parish, Bethlehem, where she served as Girl Scout Leader and Den Mother, Prefect of the Sodality, and belonged to the Seniors Group. She also served as the treasurer of the Knights of Columbus Holy Cross Council—4754 Ladies Auxiliary.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-nine years, Earl W. Dredge, who died on August 26, 2012; one brother: Michael Lawrence, and three sisters, Sister Anne Lawrence, O.S.F., Rose Marie Andrews, and Margaret Kammerer.

Lucille will be lovingly remembered by two sons: Dennis Dredge and his wife Sandra; Brian Dredge and his wife Jody; one daughter: Susan Emrich and her husband Daniel, seven grandchild­ren, and seven great-grandchild­ren. Services will be private.

Arrangemen­ts are under the care of the Connell Funeral Home, Inc., Bethlehem.

Interment will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery, Linden Street, Bethlehem.
