Mural coming to Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts

Kutztown-based illustrato­r Kathi Ember’s “Alice in Wonderland” mural will be presented 1 p.m.

Feb. 12 in the children’s area at Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites’ Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts, 427 N. New St., Bethlehem.

Visitors can learn about the artist at the public unveiling. The free event includes refreshmen­ts, a Paint-Your-Own Tea Set activity and a visit from “Alice” herself.

Historic Bethlehem is also developing a series of family programs to celebrate the painting and Alice’s adventures in Wonderland.

Community Music School board members elected

The Community Music School – Lehigh Valley & Berks recently elected

Laura M. Attieh of Lower Nazareth Township to the CMS Board of Directors. Attieh will serve a threeyear term with the 40-yearold Allentown nonprofit that provides the access and inspiratio­n for anyone in our diverse community to achieve excellence in music education and appreciate the transforma­tive power of music.

Attieh is an attorney with the King, Spry, Herman, Freund & Faul, LLC law firm in Bethlehem, where she counsels school clients in education and special education law. Prior to joining KingSpry, Attieh served as deputy district attorney for Northampto­n County. She holds a juris doctor from Western Michigan University, Thomas M. Cooley Law School and a bachelor’s degree in leadership and consumer economics from the University of Delaware.
