American Red Cross is recruiting Blood Donor Ambassadors who can help welcome and engage blood donors, explain the donation process as necessary, and assist with initial intake and hand-offs through the blood donation process. The National Canal Museum needs enthusiastic volunteers to help with our children’s program, Kids on the Canal.
Volunteers should enjoy doing crafts and demonstrating planned activities to kids visiting the museum every third Saturday of the month from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from April to December. Tasks include setup/ cleanup and interacting with kids and families as they visit. Training provided and clearances required. Tour guides at the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts lead guests through the museum while presenting a lively and educational narrative
about the changing styles of the decorative arts over more than three centuries. Tour guides answer visitors’ questions and help guests to step back in time as they learn about the exhibits. Training provided by Historic Bethlehem

The K9 Kop Project is a 501c3 that provides funding for K9 units and educates the public on the needs of K9 Officers.
They need Virtual Administrative Assistant to help one to two hours weekly. Duties include making calls, email correspondence, assembly of packets/letters/marketing materials, maintaining contact lists, etc. Knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint a plus. Minimum age 21. Their food pantry serves over 200 families per month and runs solely on the assistance of volunteers. Northeast Community Center in Bethlehem needs volunteers to assist with food distribution 5:30-7 p.m. the second Wednesday of every month. The Caring Place Youth Development Center in Allentown provides programs and activities designed to help young people overcome the pressures and limitations of their environment.

A one-acre garden, called the Easton Urban Farm, supplies fresh produce, as well as flowers, each summer to underserved neighborhoods.
Three times a week, they rely on volunteers to prepare rows, plant, weed, compost, water, pick and bundle and transport veggies to food pantries and senior centers in Easton. They need volunteers who can commit to the same day/time every week. Clearances required. Orientation provided by The Easton Neighborhood Center on Feb. 25. Work begins March 18.
