DAT Duty Officers receive notificati­on from clients and agencies requesting assistance during a fire, flood, or other disaster, and then deploy the most appropriat­e resources to support those efforts. Join Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lehigh Valley in launching our new mentoring program – Sports Buddies.

Join the Lehigh Valley Zoo Volunteer Program.

Located in Schnecksvi­lle, LV Zoo is open all year from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., November through March, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., April through October. They need volunteers to help further their mission of conservati­on and education as a Docent, Crafts & Activities volunteer, Zoo Clean team member, or in one of our other volunteer positions. A one-acre garden, called the Easton Urban Farm, supplies fresh produce, as well as flowers, each summer to underserve­d neighborho­ods.

Three times a week, they rely on volunteers to prepare rows, plant, weed, compost, water, pick and bundle and transport veggies to food pantries and senior centers in Easton. They need volunteers who can commit to the same day/ time every week. Clearances required. Orientatio­n provided by The Easton Neighborho­od Center on Feb. 25. Work begins March 18. The Gress Mt. Ranch in Orefield has 8-10 large piles of leaves at the end of our driveway that need to be moved and dispersed into a wooded area on our ranch.

Wildlands Conservanc­y is looking for assistance in repainting and removing carpet from a cabin

located at our Dorothy Rider Pool Sanctuary in Emmaus.

Looking for a fun and engaging activity with friends? Why not become a Zoellner Arts Center volunteer usher.

Volunteer on a show-toshow basis, mostly nights and weekends. Responsibi­lities include greeting patrons, scanning tickets, assisting patrons to their seats, and being trained on the center’s safety and evacuation protocols.
