The Morning Call (Sunday)

Candy Cane Lane

-

Candy Cane Lane, a winter wonderland filled with opportunities for up-and-coming local businesses, was unveiled last week by Promenade Shops officials.

Each Thursday through Sunday, from Nov. 16 through Dec. 31, The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley, together with Green Acres Outdoor Living, will host a series of five 12’ x 16’ outdoor sheds where local entrepreneurs and businesses can showcase their brands.

Adorned with twinkling lights and candy cane accents, the sheds will reside on Candy Cane Lane, a temporary space along the sidewalk between Barnes & Noble and Old Navy. Local businesses can rent the sheds for varying lengths of time ranging from a fourday weekend to the entire holiday season.

“The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley is an incredible property, and one that has become a hub of activity for the Lehigh Valley community and beyond,” says Krista Berardelli, marketing director and business development manager for the center. “Based on the tremendous success of our Promenade Pop-Up Shop which launched earlier this year, we realized that there were numerous local businesses that would like the opportunity to showcase their brands in the beautiful and bustling setting the center provides during the holiday season. This led to the launch of the new Candy Cane Lane program, a shortterm rental option for small businesses that want to share their brands with the public during the busiest time of year.”

Businesses interested in Candy Cane Lane rental options should contact svmarketing@centennialrec.com for more information.

Those interested in a longer term indoor pop-up space should consider the center’s recently launched Promenade Pop-Up Shop, a dedicated 1,500-squarefoot space that gives the center the ability to expand the reach of a number of fledgling retailers into a temporary brick-and-mortar store while introducing the community to a growing roster of new businesses.
