Are you considerin­g joining or currently serving on a nonprofit board and want to become a more informed participan­t? Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley is offering LEAD Now, a 5-part leadership training program that provides relevant guidance on nonprofit board service. Each of the sessions is a stand-alone session. This program is virtual, and each class time is 4-5:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Oct. 17-Nov. 7. Register at www.volunteerl­v.org/ LEAD-Now . St. Luke’s D&L“RaceFest” is bringing a full marathon back to the Lehigh Valley.

They are also hosting a marathon relay, half marathon run, and half marathon walk all on the same day. Join Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor on Nov. 12 for a race weekend to remember. play an instrument and want to share your musical talents?

RUNegades Inc. is looking for music groups to play along the half marathon course of the Bethlehem Running Festival at ArtsQuest SteelStack­s to encourage and cheer on our runners on Oct. 22. Stanley Llama and the pigs, goats, horses, ponies, alpacas, and other animals would love to meet you. The Gress Mountain Ranch in Orefield needs volunteers to assist with their daily feeding and watering. Small groups also needed to help with ground maintenanc­e, composting, and cleaning of stalls. Can you help to deliver Thanksgivi­ng meals to families on Nov. 17? Some families with The Salvation Army Foster Care & Adoption Services are unable to come during our office hours. Meals will be available for pickup on the afternoon noon to 4 p.m. Nov. 17. Volunteers can coordinate with the recipient families about when to drop the meals off at their homes later that day. Volunteers are needed to assist with assembling boxes of food at our pantry

from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month at The Whole Life Center, Easton. Volunteers will then take boxes out to the people’s cars by the loading dock.
