Thomas Dale Ott,

91, of Allentown,

PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 3, 2023, in St. Luke's Hospice House, Bethlehem, PA.

Born March 11, 1932 in Allentown, PA he was the son of the late Ella Peifly Ott and Norman K. Ott. Thomas graduated from Allentown High School and Kutztown State College. It was there that he met his future wife, Carol A. Billinger of Reading, PA. They remained happily married until her passing in 1997.

Thomas was a U.S. Army veteran. He earned a master's degree and did graduate work at Lehigh University and Boston College. He taught mathematic­s for 39 years, at South Mountain and Dieruff High School.

Thomas married Helene (Hobel) Zeller in 2002. They spent over 20 years together traveling the world and enjoying each other's company. Thomas is survived by his loving wife, Helene. Daughters: Carol Lynne Harakal (Andrew) and Louise Ott (Clay Gottschall). He is also survived by Theodore Zeller (Kathryn), Emily Zeller, Jonathan Zeller (Linda), and Christophe­r Zeller (Deirdre Lorenz). Grandchild­ren: Caroline

(Sr. Bridget) Harakal, Emily Palmer, Meredyth Gottschall and Henry Gottschall loved their “Amps”. Teddy, Jake, Mack, Vivian, Finley and Sloan Zeller all loved their “Grandpa Tom”. He is predecease­d by siblings Jeannette, Leanne and Norman.

Thomas will be remembered lovingly by all his family members. He was a positive person and taught us to not dwell on past mistakes and misfortune, but to always look to the future. We will miss his many words of wisdom, love, and encouragem­ent.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Parkland Community Library. Services will be held on January 13 at St. Thomas More Church, 1040 Flexer Ave. Allentown. Calling hour 10 am, Mass 11 am.
