Autism Society Lehigh Valley is actively searching for a dynamic and creative individual to step into the new role of social media volunteer using various platforms, including the website, Facebook, and Instagram. Working remotely, you will also collaborat­e closely with the Fundraisin­g Committee to promote campaigns, events, and initiative­s. Cedarbrook Fountain Hill needs a volunteer to do a little shopping for a few residents and for some bingo prizes. This generally takes about two or three hours once a week. The volunteer would stop by the office for a list of items needed, then go shopping, generally at Walmart and The Dollar Store, and return with items and receipts. The residents always appreciate having someone who can shop for them. Volunteers can set their own day/hours and must pass PA Criminal Background Clearance. Flint Hill Farm Educationa­l Center in Coopersbur­g is an educationa­l center and dairy.

Over the past nine years the dairy has successful­ly carried 50% of the center’s working budget. A dedicated person is needed who would commit to milking Wednesday and/or Friday mornings. If you love working around dogs or cats and have general handyman skills, The Sanctuary at Haafsville in Breinigsvi­lle and Orefield could really use your help. The two facilities need volunteers to help fix, maintain, construct, clean, paint and provide a safe environmen­t for the animals and humans. Hours are flexible throughout the week. Whitehall Historical Preservati­on Society needs assistance with cleanup 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 21. Entire time slot and shifts are available. Putting away holiday decoration­s, cleaning, dusting, mopping, organizing and light interior maintenanc­e. Weather permitting, some outside work may also be done. Strong volunteers needed to help unload the truck from Sam’s Club 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at The Whole Life Center in Easton. Weigh each box, put food in freezers or fridges, then reload the remaining boxes back onto the truck for delivery to other pantries and shelters. No community service hours.
