Harriet W. (Musselman) Adam

-

Harriet W. Adam, 90, of Allentown, moved to Heaven on Sunday, February 4, 2024, joining her husband, Gerald “Jerry,” of 59 years. Born on a farm in E. Allen Twp., Harriet was the daughter of the late Arlene R. (Wagner) and Elmer A. Musselman. A 1950 graduate of Allentown H.S., she worked as a secretary for the Allentown School District for 28 years before retiring in 1995. Harriet loved Jesus and was a faithful member of St. Matthew’s E.C. Church, Emmaus. She was a dedicated pianist at the church and enjoyed playing in the handbell choir.

Harriet loved her family dearly and it gave her great joy to spend time with them. Those who will continue treasuring memories are her daughter, Melissa A. Wagner and husband, B. Brian, of Kenya, E. Africa; grandchildren, Rachel A. Myrick and husband, Luke, of MN, Hannah G. White and husband, Jamie, of RI, B. Micah Wagner and wife, Lynnsi, of PA; brother, Donald and domestic partner, Ella, of CO; and nephews, Jimmy, Michael and Jerry. Harriet recently became a great-grandmother to Cayden T. Myrick. She was preceded in death by brother, Maynard.

The family is grateful to the dedicated staff at Luther Crest for their loving care of Harriet the last four years and to the caring staff of Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. for helping with arrangements.

A service to celebrate Harriet’s life will be at 3 PM Wednesday, February 21st, at St. Matthew’s E.C. Church, 5th and Ridge Streets. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Twin Pines Camp, Stroudsburg (www. twinpines.org) or to the E.C. Church of Japan through the Global Ministries Community, Myerstown (www.gmc.eccenter.com). Harriet found it a privilege to be highly supportive in both ministries throughout her life.
