Albert J. Spirk, 99, of Lenhartsvi­lle, PA passed away Thursday, December 06, 2018. He was the husband of the late Rose (Sorakas) Spirk. They celebrated 75 years of marriage November 2017.

Albert was born in Bethlehem, the son of Herman and Caroline Spirk. He was a member of St. Ursula's Church and its Holy Name Society. He was a member of Fountain Hill American Legion and the Golden Hillers of Fountain Hill. Albert was employed for 40 years as a meter repairman in the combustion department of the Coke Works at Bethlehem Steel. He served in the U.S. Navy in WWII, serving in the Atlantic and Pacific Theaters.

Albert was an avid hunter and an excellent golfer. He always could fix almost anything.

He is survived by daughter, Gloria and her husband Robert Wilson of Myrtle Beach, SC, Nancy and her husband Leon Heller of Bethlehem and his son, Bill and his wife Susan with whom he resided, 7 grandchild­ren and 13 great grandchild­ren, brother, Bernard Spirk of Miller Heights. He was preceded in death by brothers, Herman and Elmer and sisters, Carolyn Nelson and Elsie Pribula.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at St. Ursula's Catholic Church, 1300 Broadway, Fountain Hill, PA 18015 from 9-10 AM followed by a

Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. Arrangemen­ts Connell Funeral Home, Inc.

In lieu of flowers contributi­ons may be made to St. Ursula memorial fund and sent to the church.
