Catherine E. (Becker) Renner
Catherine E. Renner, 94, of Walnutport, passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. Born in Nazareth, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred S. and Minnie A. (Kulp) Becker. She was married to Curtis A. Renner on April 05, 1945, in Shreveport, LA, where Curtis was stationed for a time during WWII. They celebrated 74 years of marriage prior to his passing in August of 2017. Catherine worked in the garment industry for many years and was employed by The Tie Factory in Slatington as well as factories in Danielsville, before retiring. She later worked at her niece's garment shop in Bath, before fully retiring. Catherine was a member of Hope Lutheran Church of Cherryville. Her greatest joy was her family of whom she took great pride and loved unconditionally. Survivors: She is survived by her three children, Curtis W. “Butch”
Renner and his wife, Sheila, of Orefield, Donald S. Renner and his wife, Linda, of Danielsville, and Eileen K. Renner, at home; three grandchildren, Lisa Zimmerman and her husband, Jeffrey, of Kempton, Jason Renner and his wife, Cindy, of Orefield, and Jesse Renner and his wife, Brandie, of Troutman, North Carolina; six great-grandchildren, Justin, Shawn, Emily, Matthew, Samantha, and Sarah; brothers, Donald Becker and his wife, Virginia, of Olean, NY, and Edwin Becker and his wife, Ann, of Allegany, NY; sister, Patricia Soper and her husband, Lynn, of Limestone, NY; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her late husband, Curtis, she was predeceased by a grandson, Dr. Stephen A. Renner, in 1993, a great-granddaughter, Lauren A. Renner, as well as brothers, Wilfred and Robert Becker, and sisters, Anna White and Betty Heffelfinger. Services: will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. in the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 2165 Community Drive, Route 946, Village of Moorestown – Bath, PA 18014. Friends and relatives are invited to call on Monday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., and Tuesday morning from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Danielsville Union Cemetery, Danielsville.
