Richard W. Schraden, 76, of Old Zionsville, died at home, surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, December 13, 2018. He was the husband of Betty L. (David) Schraden. The couple celebrated 52 years of marriage on May 28th. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Earl and Sadie (Wieand) Schraden. He was a member of Zion's Evangelica­l Lutheran Church in Old Zionsville and was a graduate of Parkland High School. Richard was a diesel mechanic by trade, retiring from Trans Service Logistics in 2005 after 7 years of service. He previously worked for Exide Battery and began his career with ALPO. He was a true family man and enjoyed working on cars.

Survivors: Wife; Children, Scott D. Schraden and his wife Amy of Lehighton, Connie L. Gatch of Schnecksvi­lle and Rebecca A. Schraden of Lehighton; Grandchild­ren, Justin D. Schraden, Sadie K. Gatch and Cameron D. Gatch; Sisters, June Satkowski and Patricia Bodine; and Brother, Donald Schraden. He was preceded in death by a Brother, Earl Schraden.

Services: Memorial, 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus, PA. A visitation will be held from Noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
