Dead woman found after apartment fire
Authorities say a woman was found dead after a fire at an East Stroudsburg apartment complex Thursday.
Monroe County Coroner Tom Yanac said the victim's identity has not yet been released.
He said the fire is being investigated by the state police fire marshal.
The apartment complex for senior citizens is on Kistler Street in East Stroudsburg, Yanac said, adding the investigation is ongoing.
According to the Pocono Record, the fire began around 9 a.m. in Room 112. Stroud Area Regional police say the flames were put out by the building's maintenance staff.
Yanac said the victim's identity would most likely be released today.

Police found a plastic bag containing nine tin cans of marijuana, 2¼ ounces of cocaine and 31 prescription pills, according to court records.

The break-in was caught on surveillance cameras. Keister was charged with aggravated assaulted on a police officer, burglary and vandalism.
