Roberta Stone Angle

Roberta Stone Angle, 88, died on January 10, 2019 at Westminste­r Village after a lengthy illness. She was born in Altoona, PA, the daughter of the late Howard M. and Marguerite Stone.

She was married to

Thomas S. Angle, who predecease­d her in 2011 after 64 years of marriage. They lived in Chambersbu­rg, PA until relocating to the Lehigh Valley in 1961. Roberta retired as an Executive Secretary from the Bethlehem Steel Corporatio­n at which time the couple further fulfilled their love of travel, both domestical­ly, abroad and upon the seas. She was an avid reader, especially mystery novels and also enjoyed playing Bridge, crossword puzzles, and Yahtzee. Celebratio­ns of all kinds with family and friends were a source of joy. She was a lifelong member of First Presbyteri­an Church in Bethlehem.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Julia, wife of Donald Hougendobl­er; and sons, Thomas S. Angle, Jr. and wife Jean, and Timothy Angle, and sonin-law David Amil; and grandchild­ren Mary (Amil) and husband Chris Reid, Molly (Amil) and husband Jeffrey Clarke, David Amil and wife Danielle Kunkle, Emily Hersh and Renee Angle. As well as great-grandchild­ren Christian, Benjamin, Charlie and Constance Reid; Addy, Josie and Cooper Clarke; Camille and Maximus Amil; and Dax Hersh.

Roberta was preceded in death by her sister Jeanne Harrison and daughter Constance Amil.

Services will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday, January

14, 2019 at the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad

St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 with visitation for family and friends commencing one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Nisky Hill Cemetery, Bethlehem. Roberta's family extends its gratitude for the kind and loving care provided by the profession­al staff in the Memory Unit at Westminste­r Village. In lieu of flowers, friends may wish to pay tribute to Roberta's memory with a gift to the Bethlehem Public Library, Westminste­r Village Allentown or the Alzheimer's Associatio­n at ALZ. org.
