Wells Fargo is also maintaining a website with more information on eligibility for reimbursement.
Bank spokesman James Baum said the website also describes the issues covered by the government settlement.
“In December, we reached an agreement with all 50 state attorneys general and [the District of Columbia] that resolved a number of previously disclosed inquiries,” he said.
“I encourage Pennsylvanians with questions or concerns about the bank's remediation programs to visit Wells Fargo's website or call its escalation team,” Shapiro said.
Wells Fargo is the largest bank in the region with 41 branches and nearly $3.5 billion in deposits, according to the latest Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. market share report.
Part of the settlement required the bank to create teams to review and respond to customer complaints about its banking and sales practices. In addition, Wells Fargo will provide periodic reports to Pennsylvania and other states about its remediation.
The Pennsylvania Treasury is getting $16.5 million as part of the settlement.
