Gemma Italiani, 90, of Bethlehem Twp., passed away on Friday, April 5, 2019 in Lehigh Valley Hospital – Muhlenberg. Born in Citta San't Angelo, Abruzzi, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Guirino and Rosina (Bellante) Deleonibus.

She immigrated to Easton, Pennsylvan­ia in 1952. Gemma was married to the late Domenico Italiani until his passing in August 2002.

Gemma was a 1951 graduate of Casa Italiana DelModello Sartoriale in Italy, where she obtained her degree in Profession­al Tailoring. She had a long and successful career as a seamstress, designer, and manager in the textile industry. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and the Italian American Culture Club of the Lehigh Valley in Easton. As a member of IACCLV, Gemma served on the social committee.

Gemma is survived by sons, Anthony Italiani and wife Sally of Bethlehem Twp. and Michael Italiani and wife Deirdre of Bethlehem ; a daughter, Rose Marie Larson Italiani of Bethlehem Twp.; grandsons, Edwin, Anthony Jr., Nico, Michael Jr., and Domenico; granddaugh­ter Jessica; a niece, Vincenza Bubba, and a large extended family in Italy. She is preceded in death by seven siblings, Yolanda Nervoso, Lina Caputo, Anna Maria DeCarlis, Rosina Deleonibus, Gabrielle Deleonibus, Ettore Deleonibus and Ceasere Deleonibus, all of Italy. She will be remembered by friends and family for her wise advice, sensationa­l cooking, and unique fashion sense. Gemma will be greatly missed by her large network of friends, many of whom were also immigrants. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 am in

St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 9th & Lehigh Streets, Easton, PA. Interment will be in Northampto­n Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.
