LVBCH announces new vision partner EyeMed
The Lehigh Valley Business Coalition on Healthcare has selected EyeMed as its new vision plan partner. In making the selection, the LVBCH Board of Directors has endorsed EyeMed as a “preferred partner.”

B. Braun Interventional Systems announces U.S. commercial launch of product
B. Braun Interventional Systems Inc. in collaboration with NuMED Inc. announced the U.S. launch of the NuDEL CP Stent Delivery System, intended for the treatment of coarctation of the aorta and right ventricular outflow tract conduit disruptions. The announcement was made during the SCAI 2019 Scientific Sessions, which took place May 19–22 in Las Vegas.
The NuDEL Stent Delivery System is the latest state-of-the-art addition to the BIS congenital and structural heart portfolio and is a line extension to the CP Stent family of products manufactured by NuMED. Comprised of a pre-mounted Covered CP Stent on a balloon in balloon catheter that is preloaded inside of a kink-resistant sheath, the NuDEL system provides physicians with an “all-in-one” device for the treatment of congenital heart defects.
Hartman’s Butcher Shop wins award
Hartman’s Butcher Shop in New Tripoli recently won international recognition for the company’s meat products at the DFVAAMP Quality Competition for Sausage and Ham. The results from the competition were held in conjunction with the IFFA, the world’s largest meat industry trade fair. Hartman’s was awarded two gold medals for landjager and it Restructured Hillbilly Jerky and a silver medal for skinless shankless smoked cooked ham.
