Frank J. Szoke, Jr., 69, of Whitehall, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Frank and his wife, Carol (Nero), would have celebrated 49 years of marriage on August 22nd. Born February 28, 1950 in Northampto­n, he was the son of the late Frank, Sr. and Helen (Biss) Szoke. Frank was a graduate of Whitehall High School class of 1968 and is a 2-time inductee into the Whitehall High School Hall of Fame. He worked at Tarkett as Director of Sales for 35 years. He then worked at Muhlenberg College until retiring. Frank enjoyed coaching baseball and basketball for Cementon Athletic Associatio­n and baseball for Coplay Legion. Frank was an avid NASCAR fan, golfer and bowler. He is listed in the 1970 book of Outstandin­g College Athletes of America for his time on the Rider College baseball team. In addition to his wife, Frank is survived by sons, Matthew and wife, Leah, Brandon and wife, Isabel, and Luke; grandchild­ren, Ashley, Peyton, Austin, Madalyn and Makinley; sisters, Mary Ellen Cser and husband, Joseph, and Elizabeth

Bet and husband, Carlo; mother-in-law, Alice Nero; extended family and friends. Frank was predecease­d by his son, Kyle. Services: Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 10th at 11:00 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampto­n. Family and friends may call Friday night from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Egypt Cemetery, Whitehall.
