Authorities say a North Carolina man charged in a Plainfield Township shooting during a home invasion robbery has been arrested, and police have named a second suspect.

Kevin Edward Campbell, 32, of Greenville was arrested Friday in North Carolina, according to Northampton County Court records. Campbell is charged with robbery, aggravated assault, person not to possess a firearm, theft and related charges. He has not yet been brought back to Pennsylvania, police say.

Police have also charged Hezekiah Moore, 19, also of Greenfield, North Carolina, with conspiracy to commit robbery, conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, conspiracy to commit theft and unlawful restraint. Moore remained at large as of Monday afternoon, authorities say.

Both men are charged in an Aug. 7 home invasion robbery at the home of 66-year-old Richard Fischer of the 1700 block of Delabole Road.

Fischer was already missing his left leg, which was amputated after a 1988 motor vehicle crash in Alabama. He said the gunman, identified by police as Campbell, shot him twice in the right leg.

Police say during the robbery, Campbell and Moore forced Fischer to give them a safe and briefly detained his girlfriend as she tried to escape.

Authorities say the day of the robbery, a man they identified as Campbell was at the victim’s home, but Fischer wasn’t there at the time. Fischer’s girlfriend told police she took down Campbell’s cellphone number to give to Fischer.

Police used that cellphone number to identify Campbell. The victims also identified Campbell from a photo lineup.
