2 teens, baby in car that crashed dur­ing pur­suit, po­lice say

Two ju­ve­niles and a baby were in a car that fled White­hall Town­ship po­lice Wed­nes­day night, a pur­suit that ended when the flee­ing ve­hi­cle crashed into two parked ve­hi­cles in Al­len­town, po­lice said.

White­hall po­lice Chief Mike Marks said the pur­suit be­gan around 11 p.m. at MacArthur Road and Jordan Park­way and ended less than a mile away on the 800 block of Cedar Street. He said of­fi­cers had at­tempted to stop the car be­cause the li­cense plate came back as stolen.

Marks said the driver of the car was a 17-year-old boy. A teen girl and a 1-year-old girl were also in the car, he said. They were all treated at the scene.

Marks said no charges were filed by his depart­ment, adding that the Lehigh County Auto Theft Task Force is now han­dling the in­ves­ti­ga­tion.
