2 teens, baby in car that crashed during pursuit, police say
Two juveniles and a baby were in a car that fled Whitehall Township police Wednesday night, a pursuit that ended when the fleeing vehicle crashed into two parked vehicles in Allentown, police said.
Whitehall police Chief Mike Marks said the pursuit began around 11 p.m. at MacArthur Road and Jordan Parkway and ended less than a mile away on the 800 block of Cedar Street. He said officers had attempted to stop the car because the license plate came back as stolen.
Marks said the driver of the car was a 17-year-old boy. A teen girl and a 1-year-old girl were also in the car, he said. They were all treated at the scene.
Marks said no charges were filed by his department, adding that the Lehigh County Auto Theft Task Force is now handling the investigation.
