The Wiggles land in Philadelphia for two shows
Chances are that if you have a preschooler or toddler running around your house, then you certainly know who The Wiggles are.
The world’s #1 preschool entertainers are bringing their biggest live U.S. tour in nearly a decade to the Merriam Theater at Kimmel Performing Arts Center in Philadelphia for two shows at noon and 4 p.m. on Saturday.
The Wiggles Party Time Tour! is supporting the new Party Time! album, which was released earlier this summer. It will be the first chance for most of America to see in-person the first-ever female Wiggle, Emma (who happens to be a favorite of both boys and girls alike), who has become an international sensation. Emma, Lachy, Simon and Anthony will hit the stage with their friends Captain Feathersword, Dorothy the Dinosaur, Henry the Octopus, Wags the Dog and a brand-new Wiggly friend, Shirley Shawn the Unicorn.
The performances will have parents and children alike dancing and singing along to the classics like “Hokey Pokey,” “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes” and “Simon Says.” Other highlights include joining Emma as she performs Irish, ballet and other bow-tiful dancing; listening to Anthony play his guitar, banjo and bagpipes, and if, by some chance Lachy falls asleep, the crowd can call out “Wake up Lachy!” to get him moving.
Tickets for The Wiggle’s Party Time Tour! are on sale now, are $40 and are available via www.thewiggles.com, www.kimmelcenter.org, and by phone at 215-893-1999. Children under 12 months are $5. The Merriam Theater at Kimmel Performing Arts Center is located at 250 S. Broad St., Philadelphia.
