Eagles trim roster
The Eagles on Friday evening announced a flurry of cuts that trimmed their roster to 65 players. They need to be at the league-mandated limit of 53 by 4 p.m. on Saturday.
Released were the following veterans: DE Kasim Edebali, DE Eli Harold, LB Hayes Pullard, CB Orlando Scandrick and TE Will Tye. These players immediately become free agents.
Waived were WR Carlton Agudosi, S Trae Elston, C Anthony Fabiano, S Deiondre’ Hall, CB Ajene Harris, CB Josh Hawkins, QB Cody Kessler, T Riley Mayfield, CB Jeremiah McKinnon, WR Marken Michel, RB Donnel Pumphrey, G Keegan Render, CB Sojourn Shelton, LB Alex Singleton, WR DeAndre Thompkins, S Jason Thompson, DT Kevin Wilkins and LB Chris Worley. These players must pass through waivers before becoming free agents.
They also placed TE Richard Rodgers on injured reserve, which finishes him for the season because he goes on the list before they present their initial 53-man roster to the league, and released DT Aziz Shittu with an injury settlement.
Shittu was knocked out of Thursday night’s game with a possible concussion.
