How to help for Na­tional Food Bank Day

An­nu­ally the first Fri­day in Septem­ber is in recog­ni­tion of the out­stand­ing com­mit­ment of food banks in our coun­try to try and al­le­vi­ate food in­se­cu­rity — peo­ple not know­ing where or when their next meal is com­ing — in their com­mu­ni­ties.

Food banks across the coun­try help pro­vide re­lief to peo­ple strug­gling to put food on their ta­bles. Cir­cum­stances that bring about a need for a help­ing hand vary from a loss of job, ill­ness,
