Victim stabbed 7 times, police allege
The victim in a Tuesday stabbing told Allentown police she was stabbed seven times, according to court records.
Julio Paredes, 32, of Allentown, was charged with two counts of aggravated assault and one count of simple assault in the stabbing, which happened in his first-floor apartment in the 100 block of North 12th Street, police said. He was arraigned by District Judge Rashid Santiago and sent to Lehigh County Jail under $100,000 bail.
The victim fled the home after the stabbing and was found on the porch of a nearby home. She identified Paredes as the person who stabbed her, court records say.
Another person witnessed the stabbing and told police they saw Paredes stab the victim at least four times, court records say.
After he was arrested, Paredes admitted to stabbing the victim with a kitchen knife, court records say. He said he stabbed her twice after she grabbed him from the back as he was punching a window, court records say.
