Allentown schools should enforce dress code

The Morning Call - - TOWN SQUARE - Dennis Killeen West Rockhill Township

The Allentown School Board adopted a school dress code and the community approved it. So, according to The Morning Call (Sept. 1), a student ignores the rule for three months, so does the mother, the school administrator at the entrance and the teacher.

What life lesson did these adults impart on the student? Do you think a coach would let the student play without the proper uniform or equipment? No, as the coach knows discipline is a foundation for good performance.

What is pathetic are the teachers and administrators who lack the moral courage to enforce the rules. They would rather change the rule than have to act as the adults and enforce the rule.

How do the other students who follow the rule feel when they see someone willfully violating the rule?
