Boys & Girls Club jazz fes­ti­val, awards cer­e­mony is Sept. 13

The Boys & Girls Club of Eas­ton will hold its 33rd An­nual Eas­ton Jazz Fes­ti­val and awards cer­e­mony Sept. 13 fea­tur­ing a per­for­mance by jazz vo­cal­ist Jazzmeia Horn, win­ner of the 2015 Th­elo­nius Monk In­ter­na­tional Jazz Vo­cal Com­pe­ti­tion.

The per­for­mance will start at 8 p.m. at the Wil­liams Cen­ter for the Arts at 317 Hamilton St. in Eas­ton.

Horn, who per­formed at the 60th an­nual Grammy Awards and has been featured on NPR, is the lead vo­cal­ist of her group The Artistry of Jazz Horn, which in­cludes a pi­anist, sax­o­phon­ist, bassist and drum­mer.

The Boys & Girls Club an­nual awards pro­gram will be held prior to the per­for­mance from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Wil­son Room at the Pfen­ning Alumni Cen­ter at Lafayette Col­lege at 352 Hamilton St.
