Morning Call Career Fair offers about 50 employers looking for workers
The local unemployment rate remained unchanged at 3.9% in July, the third month running at that rate.
But if you are among the nearly 20,000 people the government counts as being out of work in the Lehigh Valley, perhaps you’d like to take advantage of some free help.
The Morning Call will host a career fair 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sept. 17 at Coca-Cola Park, 1050 IronPigs Way, Allentown.
Nearly 50 employers from industries including machinery and assembly, production operation, commercial driving, traffic planning, casino gaming, culinary and food and beverage services, hotel operations, warehousing, accounting, nursing, youth counseling, caregiving, border protection and more will be in attendance.
Each business will have a booth set up and on-the-spot interviews may be conducted.
For more than 20 years, The Morning Call’s Career Fairs have morphed into an event that draws top regional employers from a variety of industries and provides multi-recruitment solutions for businesses that are looking for quality candidates.
