East Strouds­burg Univer­sity has named Doug Page the univer­sity’s sports in­for­ma­tion di­rec­tor for the pro­mo­tion of its 22 var­sity sports. Page was pre­vi­ously as­sis­tant sports in­for­ma­tion di­rec­tor at ESU since Novem­ber. Page will co­or­di­nate in­ter­nal and ex­ter­nal com­mu­ni­ca­tions for ESU’s ath­letic de­part­ment, in­clud­ing ad­min­is­tra­tion of the ath­let­ics web­site, es­uwar­, and so­cial me­dia out­lets.

He will also be re­spon­si­ble for com­pil­ing and dis­tribut­ing sta­tis­tics for home ath­letic events, and the pro­mo­tion of all ath­let­ics re­sults and hon­ors at­tained by War­riors stu­dent-ath­letes and coaches, along with re­spon­si­bil­i­ties in pub­li­ca­tions, event man­age­ment, me­dia re­la­tions and of­fice ad­min­is­tra­tion.

Prior to ESU, Page was new me­dia co­or­di­na­tor at Bar­ton, North Carolina, sports in­for­ma­tion di­rec­tor at Salem In­ter­na­tional in West Vir­ginia and sports in­for­ma­tion in­tern at Fran­cis Mar­ion in South Carolina. He also worked in broad­cast­ing for sev­eral mi­nor league base­ball teams.

Page has his bach­e­lor’s de­gree in com­mu­ni­ca­tions from Medaille Col­lege in Buf­falo, New York.
