Bethlehem man knocked man unconscious, bit him, police say
A Bethlehem man is charged with knocking a man unconscious and biting him in an Aug. 30 assault in Allentown.
Andre Anderson, 32, of the 70s block of Valley Park South, was arraigned Wednesday and placed in county jail under $100,000 bail. Anderson is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, terroristic threats and harassment.
Anderson entered the man’s yard in the 900 block of North 19th Street, police said. When the man asked why Anderson was there, Anderson hit him on the right side of the head with a 30-inch-long metal pipe, knocking him unconscious, police said.
When the man regained consciousness, he and Anderson fought, with Anderson biting him in the chest, police said. Anderson then fled.
The man was treated for injuries at St. Luke’s Hospital Allentown and Anderson was later arrested.
