Chain-reaction crash caused by driver going at unsafe speed, police say
A driver going at unsafe speeds rear-ended another vehicle, causing a chain reaction crash near the Airport Road Shopping Center Saturday, injuring four people, including two children, state police said on Tuesday.
The crash happened at 11:13 a.m. Saturday at Airport Road at Airport Center Drive in Hanover Township, Lehigh County, state police said. Police said the driver of a Chevy Silverado rear-ended a Chevy Tahoe, causing that vehicle to hit a Jeep Grand Cherokee in front of it. The Jeep was also pushed into the vehicle ahead of it.
The driver of the Silverado and two passengers, one of them a 13-year-old girl, of the third vehicle were taken to St. Luke’s University Hospital, Fountain Hill, with unknown injuries. An 11-yearold boy in the Chevy Tahoe was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest with unknown injuries.
State police say the accident was caused by the driver of the Silverado driving at unsafe speeds.
