The Morning Call - - LOCAL NEWS -

PennDOT will host an open house on Oct. 3 to discuss plans for an upcoming project to replace the Route 29 (Main Street) bridge between 10th Street in Pennsburg and 11th Street in Red Hill in Montgomery County.

The purpose of the open house is to present plans to residents and provide an update on the project. Residents will have an opportunity to gather information and discuss the different facets of the project with PennDOT’s design team.

The open house will be held at the Pennsburg municipal building, 76 W. Sixth St., from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

PennDOT plans to replace the bridge, reconstruct the road approaches and sidewalk and lower the road to improve sight distance.

Construction bids on the project are expected to open in the fall of 2020, and the project will be funded by the state.
