FACTS ON PHILLY

-

Depleted by injuries for a second straight season, the shorthanded Eagles are coming off upset losses at the hands of Atlanta and Detroit. WR DeSean Jackson (abdomen), CB Ronald Darby (hamstring) and DT Timmy Jernigan (foot) are out.

It looks like wide receiver Alshon Jeffery (calf) will return after missing most of the last two games. Jeffery isn’t listed on the official injury report.

“He feels good, so I would expect him to go,” Pederson said. Pederson said DE Derek Barnett (ankle) is “doing well” and should play, and he’s hopeful RB Corey Clement (shoulder) will be ready. Barnett is not listed on the report, and Clement is questionable.

“Corey is getting better,” Pederson said. “[We need to] get through [Wednesday]today, but I’m hoping that he’s able and ready to go.”

The Eagles already have lost DT Malik Jackson for the year and are hoping CBs Jalen Mills and Cra’Von LeBlanc, on the

PUP and IR lists, respectively, return around midseason. Victimized by seven drops last week, Eagles QB Carson Wentz has completed 72 of 118 passes for 803 yards, six touchdown passes and two interceptions through three games. His average of 6.81 yards per attempt is down significantly from his career-high of 7.7 set last year.

Despite two key drops and a fumble in last week’s game and two drops the week before, Nelson Agholor leads the team in receptions (18), receiving yards (168) and TD catches (three). Despite being outstanding against the run, the Eagles’ defense has struggled to defend the pass, allowing opponents to throw for 901 yards and seven TDs through three games.
