FACTS ON THE PACK
An aggressive defense coordinated by Mike Pettine, son of the former Central Bucks West legend by the same name, leads the NFL in takeaways (eight) and turnover differential (plus-six). Pettine remained in charge of the defense despite the Packers’ making a head-coaching change in the offseason, hiring Matt LaFleur.
Their 12 sacks are the second-most in the league behind the New England Patriots (13), and they’ve allowed just 35 points, compared to the Eagles’ 78.
QB Aaron Rodgers has been quietly efficient, though not explosive in the Packers’ new offense, completing 57 of 93 attempts for 647 yards and four TDs without an interception.
His top two targets, Davante Adams and Marques Valdes-Scantling, have combined for nearly as many receptions (28) as the rest of the team has combined (29).
