Fall Fun is ramping up with activities galore

Fall is upon the Lehigh Valley, even if the weather hasn’t quite felt “fallish” yet. There are fall activities galore for families and kids to enjoy this coming weekend.

Seiple Farms in Bath opens the farm for fall beginning Saturday. Country Corn Maze is celebratin­g its 12th year at the farm with a massive 26-acre Kitchen Magic corn maze. Lose your family and your friends while searching for 16 different checkpoint­s as part of the maze scavenger hunt. Families and kids can also enjoy hayrides, pick-your-own pumpkins, amusements, pony rides and more. The farm is open noon-6 p.m. on select Fridays (Oct. 4, 11 and 18); 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sundays through Oct. 27. Out a little further west to the Pennsylvan­ia German Cultural Heritage Center on Saturday for Heemet Fescht, a celebratio­n of the harvest and Pennsylvan­ia Dutch farm life. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., there will be entertainm­ent from Mike Hertzog of the Blue Mountain Trio, Ed Goldberg & The Odessa Klezmer Band and more in the barnyard. Experience historical and cultural live demonstrat­ions, featuring hearth cooking, woodworkin­g, tinsmithin­g, fiber art and more. There will arts and craft vendors, children’s craft tent, Pennsylvan­ia German food in the Farmhouse Kitchen and more. The Hellerick’s Family Farm has begun its annual Fall Festival and there is much fun to be had. Bring your family and friends to enjoy the more than 45 activities for children and adults of all ages on the 18-acre adventure farm. Featured will be a hayride through the farm, a 5-acre corn maze, giant 100-foot corn chute slides, pumpkin picking, tricycles for all ages, a giant corn box, farm animals, Lincoln log building, tractor pull, and a farm market. The evening hayride is from 7-10 p.m. (non-scary), includes a hayride to the maze, navigating through the maze with a flashlight and large campfire to hang out and eat s’mores (available for purchase). Hellerick’s is open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. through Nov. 3. Weekday admission is $9.99 and weekend admission is $12.99. Children 3 and under are free.
