Team lauded for creative promotions

The Morning Call - - SPORTS -

Minor league baseball is more about what is going on around the field than what is happening on the field.

No Minor League Baseball franchise has done better at promoting the sports experience and their brand than the Lehigh Valley IronPigs in their 12-year existence.

The International League acknowledged those efforts again Thursday by honoring the IronPigs as a Larry MacPhail Award nominee.

All International League winners are nominees for the same awards across Minor League Baseball. Winners will be announced during Major League Baseball’s Winter Meetings.

The IronPigs lived up to their reputation as having one of the most creative promotional schedules, showing why they have has captured more “Golden Bobblehead” awards than any other in Minor League Baseball.
