Police: Fake Louis Vuitton bags found
EPHRATA — A second vendor has been charged after police in Lancaster County say he was found with fake Louis Vuitton handbags.
Michael K. Sha, 62, of Mount Laurel, New Jersey, is facing charges of trademark counterfeiting for possessing roughly 250 counterfeit Louis Vuitton items, according to the Ephrata police.
Police on Sept. 13 had charged the first vendor, Ndiaye L. Serignel, 50, of Staten Island, New York, after they found him with the bags mimicking the high-end versions at the Green Dragon Market and Auction, police say.
Police say a Louis Vuitton security team had purchased some of the phony items and alerted investigators, who confiscated more than 500 handbags and other items.
