Newcomer Lewis has some area ties

The Morning Call - - NFL - PHILADELPHIA — Ryan Lewis was born in Pennsylvania and went to college in Pennsylvania (Pitt). But in between, he spent most of his life in the Pacific Northwest because his father, Pennridge High School graduate Will Lewis, was busy as a Seattle Seahawks

again, the job still belongs to Sanders, who strengthened his grip on the position last Thursday night with a 67-yard return that set up a touchdown.

“I think we kind of felt like from a personnel standpoint that [Sanders] was kind of our best option going in,” Fipp said. “He’s also got some other roles, so at the end of the day we have to kind of balance out those things. With Corey being out, it’s kind of pushed him up.

“But I’m excited and happy for him that he made a play and was able to show that he’s got some talent and can help us out and that it helps being able to justify playing him back there.”
