K-Kids hit big scores

Northamp­ton has won five straight games and leads Dis­trict 11 in scor­ing with an av­er­age of 45.3 points per game. Not sur­pris­ingly, the Konkrete Kids are well rep­re­sented on the lists of EPC North sta­tis­ti­cal lead­ers.

Here’s a look at who’s com­pil­ing the best num­bers, with a spot­light on top Week 6 per­for­mances.

Rush­ing lead­ers

Tyrese Bran­don was one of sev­eral Northamp­ton stand­outs in a 51-21 vic­tory over East Strouds­burg South. The K-Kids had 317 yards rush­ing and Bran­don had 99 on 16 car­ries, in­clud­ing a 19-yarder, and scored a touch­down.

Josh Gay­check added 82 yards and Joe Ker­bacher chipped in 72 as Northamp­ton av­er­aged 6 yards per carry against the pre­vi­ously un­beaten Cava­liers.

Strouds­burg’s Dim­itri Ro­jas ran for five touch­downs against Allen. It’s the sec­ond time this sea­son he has scored five times in a game.

Pass­ing lead­ers

Northamp­ton’s Joe Ker­bacher com­pleted 11 of 15 passes for 121 yards and four touch­downs in the win over East Strouds­burg South.

Po­cono Moun­tain East’s Jimmy Gam­ble com­pleted just three passes in a 48-12 win over Pleas­ant Val­ley, but they cov­ered 178 yards and ac­counted for two TDs.

Po­cono Moun­tain West’s Law­son Bray, who was in­jured against Northamp­ton on Sept. 21, re­turned but was lim­ited to 68 yards on eight com­ple­tions by Free­dom.
