Man charged in July crash that se­ri­ously in­jured wo­man, DA says

A Hunt­ing­don County man was charged Wed­nes­day with caus­ing a three-ve­hi­cle crash in July that se­verely in­jured a wo­man in Lower Macungie Town­ship, ac­cord­ing to the Lehigh County District At­tor­ney’s Of­fice.

Thomas Itinger, 51, of the 5200 block of Bar­ree Road, Porter Town­ship, is charged with ve­hic­u­lar ag­gra­vated as­sault, ve­hic­u­lar ag­gra­vated as­sault while driv­ing un­der the in­flu­ence, caus­ing a crash in­volv­ing in­juries while not li­censed, driv­ing un­der the in­flu­ence, driv­ing un­der in­flu­ence with a blood al­co­hol level over 0.16% and reck­less en­dan­ger­ment, along with ci­ta­tions for driv­ing with a sus­pended li­cense and blood al­co­hol level of 0.02% or greater, dis­re­gard­ing traf­fic lanes, driv­ing at an un­safe speed, care­less driv­ing
