Populytics announces new hires and promotions
Jennifer Mann has joined in Business Development as occupational health business development representative. Mann holds a new position focused on developing new clients in the Schuylkill, Pocono, Hazleton and Lehigh Valley areas. Mann brings over 12 years of B2B sales, where she’s accumulated experience with many different industries. Karen Bongarzone has joined Group Health as senior quality assurance analyst. Bongarzone supports all QA functions, including root cause analysis, reporting and support for the total quality culture. She brings more than 20 years of TPA experience from HNAS/BCI in Blue Bell. Carrie Weizer has joined Group Health as group health training and development specialist. Weizer was previously at Health Advocate in Plymouth Meeting, where she was a trainer supporting both new hires and seasoned colleagues in all aspects of insurance and health care related training. She is a graduate of Temple University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in elementary education. Dan DeFuso has joined Healthcare Analytics as lead health care business intelligence analyst. DeFuso is tasked with developing its BI platform to further integrate clinical and claims data into its analytics toolkit. He has 14 years of experience working hands-on with database and business intelligence systems, and is coming from the enterprise analytics team at Lehigh Valley Health Network. His academic studies have included information systems as well as mathematics. He is also an Epic-certified Clarity administrator. Michael Picht has joined Healthcare Analytics as senior health care data analyst. Picht is focusing on projects related to payer analytics, outmigration initiatives and care pathways. Picht comes from PPL in Allentown. He has 11 years of experience focusing on analytics and business intelligence initiatives. He has a bachelor’s in computer science from Pennsylvania State University.
Sweta Korat has joined Health Care Analytics as health care business intelligence analyst. Korat’s role is instrumental in helping further integrate clinical data into analytics supporting population health and care coordination initiatives. She comes from B. Braun, where she
promoted to contract coordinator in Provider and Payer Services. In her new role, she will be responsible for Lehigh Valley Physician Hospital Organization contract maintenance and compliance. Previously, Wintle handled the enrollment of new APCs, Medicare revalidation of APCs, enrollment of new Schuylkill physicians, and was a key resource due to her knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements. Prior to that, she worked as a credentialing specialist, quality analyst, and in a medical staff office for 20-plus years. Jamie Heiserman joined Provider and Payer Services as a provider and payer enrollment specialist. In her new position, Heiserman manages the enrollment of LVPG Schuylkill physicians and APCs. She comes from within LVHN, having worked in the network for LVPG since 2016. There, she worked as a payment posting specialist and credit refund specialist. Pauline Tran and Jim Shull are the newest members of Populytics to become certified in Epic’s Clinical Data Model. The path to Epic certification requires months of preparation, including two weeks of training in Wisconsin, several hours of remote training and self-assessments, and passing scores on four proctored exams and a project. Certification in the Clinical Data Model demonstrates advanced knowledge of Epic’s Cogito (Epic application reporting), Caboodle (data warehouse), Clarity Data Model (relational database) and Clinical Data Model (EAV/flexible data model).
