Nazareth Scouts were helpful with garden show

The Morning Call - - TOWN SQUARE | A PLACE TO BE HEARD -

On behalf of the Nazareth Area Garden Club, I am once again expressing our appreciation for the help offered by Troop 78 and Pack 78 of Nazareth in staging our recent garden show at the Schoeneck Moravian Church.

This was the fourth year that Troop 78 and Pack 78, under the leadership of Dan Doughy, helped us set up and take down our show. On Sept. 4 the Scouts, their parents and leaders arrived to help after a full day of work and school. The Scouts even helped to unload plants and other items from the vehicles of the members. Saturday found a special contingent of Scouts and Scout moms cheerfully working to return the hall to order.

Special thanks to former Scoutmaster Kevin Burns, who was instrumental in facilitating this partnership between Troop 78 and Pack 78 and the Nazareth Area Garden Club.

The true spirit of service in Scouting is alive and well in Troop 78 and Pack 78. Susan Shelosky Plainfield Township The writer is a member of the Nazareth Area Garden Club.
