- — Jennifer Sheehan

It’s going to get really magical in Emmaus.

Let’s Play Books will host its 5th annual Harry Potter Fantastic Book Release Festival, 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Pool Wildlife Sanctuary, 701 Orchid Place. Tickets are required and this is expected to sell out.

For those who attend, the event will be designed as if you stepped into the books. You’ll start by going to the Forbidden Forest of the Pool Wildlife Sanctuary. You’ll arrive at “Platform 9 3/4,” the magic train platform between platforms 9 and 10 at King’s Cross Station in London.

Upon arrival at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizardry, you’ll be sorted into your choice of Hogwarts Houses (Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw or Slytherin.) There will be stores at Diagon Alley, a magical business street accessible only to wizards. In Eeylops Owl Emporium, there will be owl husbandry sessions presented by conservancy naturalists, who also will lead a hoot hike through the “Forbidden Forest.” At Flourish & Blotts Bookstore, you will pick up your copy of new illustrated “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,” along with other items for sale. Scribbulus Writing Implements will have a poster signing table. At Hogwarts, the book’s school of magic for students, there will be coloring and tattoo stations, wand making and wizard games. Treats from “Three Broomstick Restaurant” will be available throughout the evening, including a Wizards for Wildlands bake sale.

Tickets: $75 for a family of four, includes four drink tickets, access to most activities, one copy of “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” and a take-home bag; $55 for one ticket; $10 for an additional child.
