NOTREDAME-GP(5-0overall,3-0CL) at PALISADES (4-1, 3-0)

When/where: 7 p.m. Friday at Walter T. Rohrer Stadium, Kintnersville Howtowatch: youtube.com/channel/ UChZcI_VtyGRWqGCCUNhIlVA

Last meeting: Notre Dame-GPwon 42-24 on Sept. 27, 2019

Series: Notre Dame-GPleads 21-10, including the last two meetings

Players to watch: (Notre Dame-GP) Matt Frauen is second in the Colonial League in rushing yards and first in scoring. Many of his yards come after first

contact. Quarterback Collin Quintano is first with 1,091 passing yards and 11 TDs. He’s completed 65.8 percent of his passes and thrown only one interception in 117 attempts; (Palisades) Mason Smeland has 870 rushing yards this year, 2,257 and 32 TDs for his career. Fellow senior Ben Haubert has a team-best 36 tackles.

The skinny: Notre Dame-GPhas the Colonial League’s top offense with 2,235 yards in five games with a near-even split between the pass and run games. Palisades’best defense may be its pounding running game, which is averaging 270.8 yards per game. Turnovers could be a deciding factor, too. Palisades is a plus-5; Notre Dame-GPis a CL-best plus-17. Prediction: Notre Dame-GP35-28

NORTHWESTERN(3-1,2-0) at SALISBURY(1-2, 1-2)

When/where: 7 p.m. Friday at Salisbury Howtowatch: youtube.com/channel/ UCNGs4zLsF4IU1-n7JpvxiBw

Last meeting: Northwestern won 38-17 on Aug. 29, 2019

Series: Northwestern leads 20-3

Players to watch: (Northwestern) Justin Rodda last week tied the Tigers’career receiving TD record (23) set by Cam Richardson 2012-2014. He has 11 catches this year for 213 yards and four TDs. QuarterbackJustin Holmes leads the Tigers in rushing (377 yards) and passing (790). He’s accounted for 19 TDs. (Salisbury) QB Quintin Stephens is coming offa monster game in the Falcons’win over Pen Argyl. The skinny: Northwestern’s win Oct. 2 over Wilson was the program’s 300th. The

Tigers are 301-273-6 all-time. Win No. 302 will be hard to come by in what should be an entertaining game. The progress of first-year contributors including Gio Hines figures to make Salisbury more unpredictable. Northwestern’s standout running back/linebacker/leader left last week’s game with an injury.

Prediction: Northwestern 30-26

PALMERTON(1-2,1-2) at SAUCON VALLEY(1-1, 1-1)

When/where: 7 p.m. Friday at Montford E. Illick Stadium, Hellertown Howtowatch: youtube.com/channel/ UCbBaongzWJZ2s30iSeNuSpA

Last meeting: Saucon Valley won 35-14 on Sept. 6, 2019

Series: Tied at 16, but Saucon Valley has won seven of the last eight meetings Players to watch: (Palmerton) Sophomore quarterback Cole Serfass is averaging 7.3 yards per carry and has a team-best 487 rushing yards. (Saucon Valley) Ty Csencsits is becoming a big-play threat.

The skinny: Saucon Valley got a Week 1 wake-up call against Bangor in a game the Panthers admitted they weren’t mentally prepared to play. That could be dangerous for the rest of the league moving forward. Palmerton, meanwhile, is looking for that consistency on both sides of the ball. Prediction: Saucon Valley 35-22

WILSON(1-3, 1-1) at BANGOR(1-2, 1-1) When/where: 7 p.m. Friday at Bangor

Memorial Park

Howtowatch: Facebook @BangorAreaSD

Last meeting: Wilson won 48-3 on Oct. 19, 2019

Series: Wilson leads 62-35-3, but Bangor has won eight of the last 10

Players to watch: (Wilson) QB Cayden Stem stepped up his contributions last Saturday with the absence of leading rusher C.J. Fazio, leading receiver Zack Gillen and athlete Damian Simpson. (Bangor) Joe Genteel returned last week after a one-game absence. Coach Paul Reduzzi will look to use his athleticism . The skinny: Two teams not lacking effort, but struggling to find that consistency — especially on offense. The Warriors have weapons when at full strength. They have big-play potential with Stem’s strong arm and Damon Simpson’s breakaway speed. The Slaters also have weapons, which have a better chance with improved line play.

Prediction: Wilson 24-20

CATASAUQUA(0-3,0-3) at SOUTHERNLEHIGH (1-1, 1-1) When/where:

7 p.m. Thursday at Southern Lehigh Middle School

How to watch: youtube.com/channel/ UCi4g3rxDWXdfYrAN8vSf2eQ/

Last meeting: Southern Lehigh won 62-7 Series: Catasauqua leads 29-14, but Southern Lehigh has won the last six by a 336-56 composite score

Players to watch: (Catasauqua) Freshman quarterback Nasir McLean totaled two TDs in last week’s loss to Notre Dame-GP. (Southern Lehigh) Logan Shorb was pressed into QB duty for a series in the Spartans’opener because of injury. He delivered a touchdown. He was used at tailback for several series in Week 2 and produced 109 yards and a score. The skinny: Southern Lehigh is smarting after last Friday’s home loss to rival Saucon Valley. Look for coach Phil Sams’ club to work on its 2-minute drill after crucial mistakes on its final drive in the 34-33 loss.

Prediction: Southern Lehigh 42-14

NORTHERNLEHIGH(1-2,1-2) at PEN ARGYL(1-2, 1-2) When/where:

1:30 p.m. Saturday at Alumni Stadium, Pen Argyl

How to watch: www.youtube.com/ channel/UCfW5C295ZqIqLSQDJOjXuWg?view_as=subscriber

Last meeting: Northern Lehigh won 14-8 on Sept. 14, 2019

Series: Northern Lehigh leads 15-11 Players to watch: (Northern Lehigh) Matt Frame is the anchor of the Bulldogs defense and its power running game. (Pen Argyl) Sophomore Gian Greggo leads the team with 23 tackles.

The skinny: The Bulldogs figured something out last Saturday by going to its double-tight formation to unleash its run-game weapons — Frame, Joe Abidelli, Mike Repsher, Trevor Amorim. If the Green Knights can’t stop that, it could be a punishing, fast game. The Green Knights will have to keep the Dawgs honest with offensive balance with or without leading rusher Jared Albanese.

Prediction: Northern Lehigh 28-13
