ATHLETES OF THE WEEK NOMINEES

The Morning Call sports staff will nominate three male and three female athletes each week from area schools based on their performance from the previous week. You are invited to vote for one male and one female athlete. Winners will be announced in Friday’s Morning Call Sports section. One male and one female winner will be awarded a $500 scholarship by CH Foundation. Voting is open from 5 p.m. Monday to 9 a.m. Thursday at themorningcall.com/ athleteoftheweek

Male nominees

Brett Ungar, Notre Dame-GP: The Cornell recruit outscored his three opponents by a combined 36-0 score to win the Class 2A East Super Regional title at 120 pounds.

Evan Gleason, Bethlehem Catholic: The Harvard commit won the Class 3A East Super Regional championship at 152 pounds with three victories by a composite 16-4 score.

Dom Falcone, Easton: The Army-West Point commit rolled to the 172-pound title at the Class 3A East Super Regional to move to 12-0 this year, 96-33 in his career.

Female nominees Alexandra Lister, Northwestern Lehigh basketball: Scored a game-high 17 points in 47-30 win over Pen Argyl in District 11 tournament Friday.

Olivia Stevenson, Parkland swimming: Secured wins in two individual events (the 200 and 500 freestyle) and was a crucial part of the 400 relay team.

Amyah Williams, Allen basketball: Canned back-to-back triples to put Canaries up by 10 in the third quarter in a 35-31 loss at Whitehall in opening night of District 11 tournament.
